I knew she was bad news when she walked into my office, but I just couldn’t help myself…
Filthy, sexy and full of surprises, Juliet is so hot she has me on fire. I’ve met my match and I can’t help going back for more.
Then there’s Madison… she’s sweet, funny and awakens in me a fierce need to protect her.
But I don’t do relationships. I don’t usually do the same woman twice.
Juliet and Madison: Two very different women have got me completely hooked.
Who will I choose?
I know who I should choose, but I never said I was the hero of this story, or even the good guy. And besides, who wants to be good, when it feels so good being bad?
My tale isn’t for the faint-hearted. If you’re game, strap yourself in and expect the unexpected. But don’t say I didn’t warn you…
Achingly sexy and highly addictive, Dirty Dix, the first in the Hard Love Romance series, will have you hooked. Wicked Dix coming soon…
My thoughts – 5*
Oh my! A really hot book. This story is utterly outrageous, raunchy and sexy!
I’m used to reading chick-lit and crime drama, so this was a completely different genre.
I thoroughly recommend it, but definitely not for you if you are at all prudish!!
Dr Dixon Mathews is a psychiatrist who specialises in addiction.
Just less than a year earlier he had a relationship break up. Lily was the love of his life but she left him for one of his best friends and quickly became pregnant and engaged.
This threw him off the rails and he thought meaningless sex was the cure. A total man-whore with a different woman every night.
At the office a new client turns up for her session. Her name is Juliet and her addiction is to sex.
Totally unprofessionally Dixon is really turned on. Things hot up and a relationship based purely on sex is formed.
This suits them both to begin with.
Meanwhile, Dixon comes to the rescue of Madison after an altercation in the street. He falls for her innocence and vulnerability.
Dixon and Madison were destined to get together again after that first meeting. There is a definite spark between them.
But things didn’t go to plan. Dix and Madison both have issues which they don’t want to discuss with each other.
I don’t know if Dix is a hero or even a good guy, because although he seems strong he is also very cowardly. I did fall for him a bit though 🙂
I absolutely hated Juliet, what a proper horrible bitch!!
I loved Madison, such a lovely girl, even though memories from her past made things difficult at times.
Finch and Hunter, Dixon’s buddies, were funny. Some great put-downs from them.
The way Madison’s family weaves in to the story is really clever.
This is the first book I’ve read from Monica James and I’ve already started on the next in the series, Wicked Dix.
The author certainly doesn’t shy away from the sex scenes, of which there were many!
